About me

Hi, I'm Jodie
I didn't start as a "gym person."
After high school, I struggled with depression, comfort eating, and weight gain. One day, I decided I was sick of feeling that way, so I joined a gym, got a trainer, and threw myself into it. At first, it felt amazing. But somewhere along the way, I became obsessive. I was barely eating, training for hours every single day, and losing weight fast. People complimented me. They wanted to know my secret. But I felt weak, unhappy, and honestly... ashamed.
Over time, through a lot of trial and error, research, and unlearning everything I thought I knew, I rebuilt my relationship with exercise and food. I learned how to fuel my body and give myself more balance and grace.
That experience is a big part of why I became a personal trainer — to help others cut through toxic gym culture and the pressure to shrink themselves to feel worthy.
But my journey didn't stop there.
I've since been diagnosed with PCOS, endometriosis, and a vein malformation, and I lost my thyroid to cancer. Each diagnosis completely changed how I approach exercise. I now understand firsthand that progress isn't linear, and that health doesn't look the same every day. That's why I prioritise realistic, adaptable training for myself and for every client I work with.
Because showing up imperfectly is still worth it.

I'm based in Adelaide and have been working with clients since 2016. I hold a Certificate III and IV in Fitness, current First Aid, and professional insurance. I've completed specialist training in pregnancy and postnatal exercise through Michelle Wright's program for personal trainers, as well as Bodyweight Essentials with Fitness Education Online. I'm currently completing a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science, with plans to go on to a Master's in Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology.
My sessions aren't about grinding it out or hitting arbitrary targets. They're about tuning into what your body needs that day, whether that's pushing hard or pulling back. I'm here to help you build an exercise practice that actually fits your life.
If you've ever walked into a fitness space and felt like you didn't belong there, I built this for you. Whatever your starting point, you're welcome here exactly as you are.
